Job Description
Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking an Microsoft Architect with our client.
As an Architect within the Modern Workplace Experience and Communication team, you will translate business needs into technical solutions and define solutions to problems through the reasoned application of information technology creating and/or modifying Microsoft 365 solutions to solve organizational experience challenges while also supporting our e-signature platform, Docusign, and other communications vendor tools and solutions. You will partner effectively with IT leadership, engineering, peers, and enterprise-wide stakeholders to ensure application architecture solutions are built with a long-term vision and align with enterprise platform requirements. You will provide leadership and oversight for various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Scrum meetings and sprint team deliverables. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will develop core software capabilities to solve complex customer problems, stay current with the latest technologies for your products/domain, and be hands-on when required, including participation in the on-call support rotation during working hours. You will also learn and apply new technologies, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, and help continue to build AI solutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply expert knowledge and a broad understanding of multiple disciplines, integrating technical principles and methods with knowledge of products, services, and internal operations.
- Serve as a lead contributor in the design of critical-path technology initiatives. Develop integrated solutions based on business requirements.
- Contribute to complex and innovative business solutions that achieve strategic objectives for the business segment.
- Solve complex, critical problems related to significant and unique issues. Use extensive research and interpretive thinking. Utilize innovative methods in developing solutions. Work on abstract problems requiring the evaluation of intangible variables.
- Assist the product group with designing, developing, documenting, and analyzing the overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software. Make product recommendations based on duration and SDLC.
- Coordinate design and integration with Engineering for the total system, including subsystems. Research and recommend technologies to improve current systems, including meeting with outside vendors to learn about cutting-edge technologies available in the industry.
- Use independent, critical thinking to solve complex problems that are significant to the customer.
- Work independently and collaboratively with the team to develop core software for the product that delivers outcomes.
- Be consistent and dependable in delivering core software that achieves outcomes and meets or exceeds the team's expectations for stability, scalability, resilience, and related standards.
- Seek out opportunities to learn new technologies that improve the product and its life cycle.
- Participate in product planning and implementation, helping the team understand and decompose work.
- Provide technical expertise and help the team solve technical and software issues.
- Participate in the interview process or serve on the panel to recruit the right talent to the team.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience in complex engineering environments, applying industry-standard SDLC practices to translate abstract concepts into detailed software engineering plans and deliver results.
- Experience architecting software solutions and applying systems design concepts that support performance, high availability, reliability, security, stability, and scalability.
- Understanding of data and system integration patterns and technologies
- Proficiency in managing large-scale initiatives
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences, including senior management, through verbal, written, and technical documentation.
- Strong conceptual, critical thinking, technical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Deep knowledge of Operating Systems and/or Application Development Platforms
- Ability to debug code and/or complex log files for troubleshooting and analysis of product defects
Preferred:
- Microsoft ecosystem experience: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, declarative/custom agent development, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerShell and PnP, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Teams, ShareGate Migrate, Microsoft Viva Suite, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Loop, and Microsoft Purview
Familiarity with one or more of the following is a plus:
- Software experience: Docusign; media production applications, such as Riverside Studio and Frame.io; public relations software, such as Muck Rack, TVEyes, and Cision; and communications applications, such as Poppulo
The base hourly range for this contract position is $80-110 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
