Job Description
Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager with our client in Minneapolis, MN.
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a strategic Finance transformation initiative focused on the digitalization and automation of critical financial information to meet evolving regulatory requirements. This role will partner across Finance, Technology, and external managed service providers to drive execution, governance, communication, and delivery of complex cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong project leadership experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale technology-enabled solutions within aggressive timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle activities including planning, execution, governance, communication, risk management, and delivery to ensure alignment with scope, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, resource allocation, timelines, and critical path activities.
- Drive daily execution of project activities, proactively identify and remove blockers, and ensure successful completion of project deliverables within required timeframes.
- Partner with external managed service providers and internal technology teams to implement immediate short-term automation solutions and scalable long-term digitalization strategies.
- Establish and execute comprehensive project communication plans, serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, project teams, vendors, business leaders, and technology partners.
- Provide consistent project status reporting, executive updates, and stakeholder communications to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Facilitate and manage project governance structures including steering committees, workstream meetings, decision tracking, RAID logs, issue management, and change management processes.
- Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies and organizational impacts to ensure successful integration across project workstreams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, resource requirements, and accountability across teams to support successful project outcomes.
- Champion team success by addressing organizational or operational roadblocks that impact delivery and performance.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project plans, procedures, approvals, testing documentation, and governance artifacts in accordance with internal standards.
- Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve processes, enhance project outcomes, and adapt solutions as business needs evolve.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional technology and business transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of technology project delivery methodologies and experience managing vendor-supported or outsourced solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and influence senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including MS Project, Excel, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear process flows and business-friendly solutions for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification and/or Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
- Experience supporting Finance transformation, regulatory initiatives, or enterprise digitalization programs is highly desirable.
The base range for this contract position is $70-$100 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
