Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced highly organized, proactive, and experienced Program / Project Manager to support multiple workstreams within a Discovery initiative. This role blends program-level coordination with hands-on project management, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely progress across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has experience guiding teams through early discovery and exploratory phases and successfully transitioning initiatives into definition and development, particularly within regulated or complex domains.

Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management
- Drive alignment across multiple discovery workstreams, ensuring priorities, dependencies, and timelines are clearly understood and actively managed.
- Coordinate activities across teams to support a cohesive, integrated discovery effort.
- Ensure smooth transitions from discovery into definition and development phases.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate meetings, including setting clear agendas, documenting outcomes, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Track and manage deliverables across all workstreams to ensure timely completion.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project and program risks.
- Monitor budgets, track variances, and report financial status to stakeholders.
- Serve as a central point of contact for project and program updates.
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise status reporting for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Escalate risks, issues, and decisions as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
- Provide regular progress reports and dashboards to support leadership visibility and informed decision-making.
- 7+ years of project management experience, with 3+ years in program or portfolio management (hybrid or combined responsibility preferred).
- Proven experience managing projects across the full software development lifecycle, with particular strength in:o Discovery and exploratory phaseso Transitioning teams from discovery into definition and development
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Background in financial services, healthcare, legal, or other highly regulated or specialized domains.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, interrelated projects, recognize dependencies, and ensure alignment across teams.
- Experience managing digital product, software, or application projects and programs.
- Familiarity with risk management, budget tracking, and deliverable management.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as OnePlan, Jira, or similar.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
