Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Senior Tech Lead at our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client is seeking a Tech Lead who will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in either Money Movement (Bill Pay, Wires, ACH, Check Deposits) or Credit Card, Mortgage, and CAA domains. This consultant will drive key initiatives, provide technical leadership, and coordinate across internal teams and external partners to deliver high-impact financial-services solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Coordinate and manage multi-team projects across technology, operations, and business groups.
• Partner with external vendors and financial institutions to align on solution design and delivery.
• Support the design and implementation of next-generation payment rails and future-state architectures.
• Collaborate with product, digital, and operations teams on credit card, mortgage, and upcoming CAA initiatives.
• Provide subject matter expertise on payment systems, lending systems, and integration patterns.
• Ensure technical designs follow best practices, modern technology standards, and security requirements.
• Translate business needs into scalable, technical solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong technical knowledge of APIs, Java Spring Boot, and systems architecture.
• Experience in payments, money movement, deposits, mortgage, or credit within financial services.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong architectural and solution-design capabilities.
• High analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Java technology stack and API development.

The base hourly range for this contract position is $70-$100 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
